Schenectady is a city a bit north and west of Albany, NY (New York State Capital). We are an old manufacturing city having lost much of our tax base over the years.
Schenectady is a unique place in name only though. Many cities have lost their jobs and their tax base. Although we have pre-United States history, we certainly have current social problems.
